We have a client that has an office in which no closets exist! I have no clue why, but that is the case. They asked us to evaluate the situation to upgrade their existing network to a new one. I poked around, found the OLD server inside an office (which they want to use now). So I made a suggestion, "Why not I build you a custom server inside a file cabinet? This way it is locked up by the cabinet itself, it can go next to an existing computer desk, and not look out of the ordinary." They said "OK". So we went with the idea....
First I went over and picked up the file cabinet with my friend Jason's help and his pickup. After getting it in my garage, I waited for my equipment to arrive. I order....
- 2 80MM fans
- 6 92MM fans
- 450w Enerex power supply
- Wire kits
- Grills
- Etc
- Asus CUV4X
- PIII 933
- 256MB ram
- Free PCI video card =)
- Floppy drive

- KVM switch with 2 cable sets
